What a fun read! There were so many moments where I laughed out loud, and all of the characters were so unique. This author is amazing, and I feel as though I have been living under a rock by not having read any of her books sooner.

Madeleine Cash has a New Year's Resolution. Or three. No chocolate, no meddling, and absolutely, positively no men. So naturally she falls in love with a cute pilot, Mick Meyer, who has no idea who she is beyond the angel who nurses his wounds while he is in the hospital. He had a "parking accident" with his plane, and now he is recovering slowly, going crazy except for his visits from Maddie. While it doesn't take long for them to fall for each other, it takes a lot of convincing for Maddie to realize that breaking a few resolutions might be necessary for her happily ever after.

I loved, loved, LOVED Maddie and Mick! They were so adorable, and throughout the story I was relating to them. I wanted to be their friend, scarf down chocolate together, and meddle in lives with Maddie. She had a heart of gold, and I thought it was wonderful how her "flaws" were really more like loveable quirks. While working in real estate, she was perfectly willing to lose a sale if it meant the customer avoided making a huge mistake. Commendable and spoke volumes about her character. Mick was your stereotypical macho guy - adorable in his gruffness and stubborn in handling sickness and injuries. He handled Maddie like a pro and was so sweet with her, even when he was in a lot of pain. A stand up guy, was Mick.

I am so excited that I have a whole bunch of books by this author to read! Her writing style is engaging and fun, and it brings laughter to anyone's day. A truly great read!
