Book Review: His To Protect by Stacey Lynn

July 12, 2016

Amazon | Barnes and Noble | Kobo

This was a pleasant, quick read! The author did a great job at developing the characters and making the story and relationships believable. I particularly liked that she added a lovable canine companion - as a dog lover and owner, this always gives me warm fuzzies! I like characters who like dogs.

Trina and Declan were a great couple. Trina, having been in an abusive relationship, had to work through her trust issues, but Declan was very supportive and patient. I loved that the author didn't rush their relationship and instead it develop over the course of the story. Declan is my favorite type of hero - protective and strong, yet patient and gentle. Trina could have been a really weak character, but she found her claws and really took control of her life. I enjoyed watching her character grow.

I look forward to reading more of this author's books! This story had an attention-grabbing start and never let go, not even at the end. With a bit of a teaser for the next book, it definitely left me anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.
