Book Review: Drawn to the Wolves by Shari Mikels

Amazon | Barnes and Noble | Kobo

This was a quick, enjoyable read, and I was amazed at the amount of story packed into such a small package. It was not predictable in the way many short stories are, and it was a great introduction to what I assume is an upcoming new series by this author. Callan Mohan knows something is wrong when he feels anxiety from an unknown woman, and all his pack is accounted for. Knowing that this signals the presence of his mate, he rushes to her aid and saves her from his cousin, JT. Kate Ballard just came to Whiskey Grove, Tennessee to relax before she begins her new job, away from the stress of her old job as a sketch artist for law enforcement. When she strays too far from the hotel, she is rescued by a handsome man who is seemingly perfect for her. But he has a big secret, one that could doom their love before it has a chance to bloom. I loved the chemistry between Callan and Kate! They fit together well from the start, and it made their connection believable even with the speed of the romance. Kate had a bad history with wolves, so it was an intriguing conflict in the story. It helped build up Callan's character as he helped her overcome her fear, and it made Kate endearing. The build up to the end was great and made me wish I read a bit slower so that it didn't end so quickly. I can't wait to read the next book, if this will be a series! I loved all the characters and could see several great books easily. **I received a free copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**
