Book Review: Absolute Trust by Piper J. Drake

Amazon | Barnes and Noble | Kobo

This installment was perhaps my favorite of the three, though I thought the first one couldn't be topped. The chemistry between the main characters was amazing, drawing me in from the start and leaving me weak in the knees. It was one of the best examples of perfect chemistry I have seen in a book. Brandon Forte has got it bad for Sophie Kim. They grew up together and fell in love in high school, but Sophie's father disapproved of Brandon. So Brandon left without a word to join the military and make something of himself. Now he's back, and he and Sophie have a solid friendship. But when Sophie's life is threatened, their friendship turns into something more, and they both must navigate newly resurfaced feelings as they battle those who want to kill Sophie. As I said above, the chemistry was phenomenal. The heat coming off the pages made me want to turn on the AC, it was that steamy. This could have been a completely "clean" romance with zero canoodling going on, and I still would have felt the sexual tension between these two. They had a depth of understanding of each other that was reminiscent of what one might think soul mates would experience. It was, quite simply, one of the most beautiful examples of love I have ever read. I hope this series is not at an end, but if so, I know this author will produce another amazing series soon. I continue to be amazed at her ability to create realistic, enviable relationships between her characters. It's always a pleasant surprise! **I received a free copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**
